Arc-shaped metal bending support is a metal structural part formed by sheet rolling and round tube/square tube bending process. It is mainly used to connect and reinforce the arc transition part of the guardrail system (such as stairs, balconies, corridors, etc.), and has both load-bearing and decorative functions.

 

Processing Process and Equipment Coordination

Laser Cutting (metal round tube/sheet material)
- Process Requirements: Use laser cutting machine to accurately cut round tubes, square tubes or plates, with smooth cuts and no burrs, and the tolerance is controlled within ±0.5mm.

Rolling Forming (rolling machine + mold)
- Process Core: Select a rolling machine (three rollers/four rollers) according to the arc requirements, and use a customized mold to roll the sheet into an arc body.
- Note: The end of the sheet needs to be pre-pressed to avoid straight edge defects, and the arc and roundness need to be calibrated after rolling (tolerance ±1mm).
- Pipe Bending: (hydraulic pipe bender + mold)
- Cooperation Processing: cold or hot bend the round pipe/square pipe for connection (depending on the wall thickness), and the bending radius must match the curvature of the support.

Product Features and Industry Applications

Stable Structure: The arc design disperses the force and has strong impact resistance (bearing ≥500kg/m).

Weathering and Corrosion Resistance: The material is mostly Q235B carbon steel or 304 stainless steel, with surface treatment, the service life is more than 10 years.

Easy Installation: Standardized connection holes are reserved, suitable for M10-M16 bolts.

Material Selection and Quality Assurance

Common Materials
- Economic Type: Q235B carbon steel (spray-coated, low cost, suitable for indoor use).
- High Corrosion Resistance: 304/316 stainless steel (brushed/mirror polished, suitable for coastal or chemical environments).
- Lightweight: Aluminum alloy 6061-T6 (anodized, used for decorative guardrails).

Quality Tolerance Standard
- Dimensional Tolerance: length ±1mm, arc radius ±1.5mm.
- Geometric Tolerance: flatness ≤2mm/m, verticality ≤1.5°.

Surface Treatment

Spraying: low cost, various colors available (RAL color card), strong adhesion, suitable for outdoor use.

Hot-Dip Galvanizing: excellent corrosion resistance (zinc layer ≥80μm), but the surface is rough and needs subsequent spraying for beautification.

Electroplating Chrome/Nickel: strong decorative effect, suitable for high-end scenes such as shopping malls and hotels.
