Product Description

The rotating body structure is widely used in the industrial field. Common names include drive shaft, flange, turntable bearing, sleeve, rotor, end cover, etc. Although these products differ in specific form and function, they all have the basic characteristics of a rotating body.

Rotating Body
Commonly Used Materials

- Carbon Steel and Alloy Steel:
- 45 Steel: low cost, good comprehensive performance after quenching and tempering, used for general transmission shafts
- 42CrMo/40Cr: high strength, fatigue resistance, suitable for heavy-duty bearings and gears
- Aluminum Alloy:
- 7050-T7451: the first choice for lightweight high-speed rotating bodies, used in aviation and precision instruments
- Special Materials:
- GCr15 bearing steel: high wear-resistant rolling element material
- Composite Materials: carbon fiber reinforced resin, used for customized parts with weight reduction and high rigidity

Rotating Body
Processing Characteristics and Precautions

Turning Dominance:
- Rough turning leaves allowance (radial 0.5-1mm), fine turning ensures dimensional tolerance (IT6-IT8).
- Anti-Deformation: slender shafts need to follow the tool holder to avoid tool error; thin-walled parts use soft jaw clamps.

Heat Treatment and Collaborative Processing: Tempering (quenching + high temperature tempering) after rough turning to eliminate stress; surface quenching before fine turning to improve wear resistance.

Center of Mass Accuracy: Composite material rotating bodies need to be processed in stages, measure the center of mass after rough turning, and adjust the allowance distribution to prevent deviation during fine turning.

Heat Treatment Requirements

● Tempering treatment: After rough machining, the hardness of 45 steel/40Cr reaches HRC22-28, which improves toughness and cutting performance.

● Surface quenching: The bearing raceway and gear tooth surface are quenched by medium frequency quenching, with a hardness of HRC55-60 and a depth of 1-3mm.

● Stress relief annealing: Welded parts or large castings are carried out before fine machining to avoid subsequent deformation.

Application

Rotating Body

Mechanical Manufacturing: The transmission shaft is used to transmit power so that the machine can operate normally; the flange is used to connect pipes, equipment and other components to play a sealing and fixing role; the slewing drive can be used in any occasion that requires full-circle rotation and speed change, such as lifting equipment, aerial work vehicles, etc.; turntable bearings are widely used in engineering machinery, wind power, solar energy, medical equipment and other fields to support and realize rotational motion.

Transportation: The automobile transmission shaft is an important component for transmitting power in the automobile transmission system, enabling the car to generate driving force; the turntable slewing bearing for trailers is used for transportation, agricultural trailers, irrigation systems and airport luggage racks, etc., to transmit axial, radial loads and torque.

Energy Field: Wind power wind turbine bearings include yaw bearings, pitch bearings and transmission system bearings, which are installed at the connection between the tower and the cabin, and the blades and the hub respectively; in the solar electric field, the slewing body structure products are used to realize the tracking and rotation of solar panels to improve the utilization rate of solar energy.

Medical Field: The slewing bearings of the spindle turntable of medical equipment have high precision, low noise, high life and high reliability, and are widely used in large medical equipment such as gamma knives, CT machines, and MRI machines.

Tolerance and Quality Requirements

● Dimension Tolerance:

- Bearing Mating Surface: IT6–IT7 (such as turntable bearing raceway)

- General Journal: IT8–IT9

● Geometric Tolerance: Coaxiality ≤φ0.02mm (transmission shaft); end face runout ≤0.05mm (flange)

● Surface Quality: Key contact surface roughness Ra≤0.8μm (matching grinder)

Surface Treatment

In order to improve the corrosion resistance, wear resistance and aesthetics of the rotating body structure products, surface treatment is often required. Common surface treatment methods include painting, electroplating, nitriding, anodizing, etc.

Our Technical Advantages

Rotating Body

High Integration: Rotary body structure products such as slewing drives have high integration. Users do not have to purchase and process each accessory that makes up the rotating device one by one, which reduces the preparation process at the beginning of product production and improves labor productivity.

High Safety: The worm gear slewing drive has the characteristics of reverse self-locking, which can achieve reverse self-locking, improve the operating stability and safety factor of the main machine, and is widely used in lifting, aerial work and other equipment.

Easy Installation: Compared with traditional slewing products, slewing body structure products have the advantages of easy installation, easy maintenance, and greater installation space saving.

Customized Service: Customized products can be provided according to the customer's special size, tolerance and clearance requirements to meet the needs of different users.
